그림과 같은 T 형 단면의 임의의 축 x 에 대한 2차 모멘트는 다음과 같이 계산할 수 있다.

두 개의 직사각형으로 나누어 계산한 후 더 한다.

□ 상부 직사각형 부분

Ix1 = (Tw*h1^3)/12 + Tw*h1*(h1/2-h)^2

□ 하부 직사각형 부분

Ix2 = (b*h2^3)/12 + b*h2*(h1+h2/2-h)^2

Ix = Ix1 + Ix2
= (Tw*h1^3)/12 + Tw*h1*(h1/2-h)^2 + (b*h2^3)/12 + b*h2*(h1+h2/2-h)^2
